What To Expect

Scheduling

We want your experience to be a positive one at Lucas & Lucas, LLC. Therefore, our bodywork and chiropractic services are scheduled according to the type and time-frame of the appointment, which keeps us on time, even for our afternoon and late evening appointments.

There may be times when you have to leave a message in order to schedule your next visit; usually when we are in session. We ask that you kindly leave your information and we will always return your call as soon as we are able to do so.

If you must re-schedule any appointments, please contact us as soon as possible, so that we can book the available time with another client/patient who may be in need of our services. Since our time is limited, your re-scheduled appointment can have a positive effect on someone else if we are informed in advance. 24 to 48 hours notice is always helpful.


Our Practice

Clients requiring bodywork comprise the majority of our practice. Our private treatment rooms for these services include lowered lighting, relaxing background music, fresh linens, blankets/pillows/face rests and a place to hang your garments. Our clients remain draped during the session, with only the therapeutic work areas exposed.

We provide a solid range of bodywork, including: swedish/relaxation, sports, range of motion, deep tissue, any combination of those already described and "specific area" therapeutic work. We also provide sessions during matching time frames, so that you and a family member or friend can travel together. Sessions are available from 1 to 2 hours in length.

Note: We are happy to be able to provide services for senior clients. However, we do not perform massage on minors or pregnant women and ask that you please locate a specifically trained therapist for these two categories.


New Clients and Patients

Please be prepared to fill out some necessary paperwork at your first appointment. And, if you have been referred by your medical doctor, we ask that you have your prescription with you at the time of your first appointment.

  • Example 1: A client who has been referred by their neurologist may only require massage.
  • Example 2: A client who has been referred by their orthopedic surgeon may require bodywork and/or chiropractic sessions.

The prescription will inform us regarding your doctor's specific request.


We Do Not Provide Reminder Calls

We will gladly provide you with a reminder card, but we are unable to provide reminder phone calls.

If you have forgotten when your upcoming appointment has been scheduled, don’t hesitate to contact us and we’ll be happy to let you know the date and time.


Please Re-schedule If You Are Sick

Please re-schedule your session if you are running a fever, if you have been prescribed an antibiotic for a contagious disease (i.e. strep. throat, tonsillitis, bronchitis, etc.) until you have been on the medication for at least 24 hours, or if you have had vomiting or diarrhea in the past 24 hours.

You should also re-schedule if you have a severe cold or throat/nasal symptoms.

We do not wish to deprive any other clients of their needed care, due to what could have been an avoidable illness on our part.
